BECAUSE A HORSE CAN CHANGE A LIFE

Therapeion Therapeutic Riding Center is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, founded in 2007 and currently situated at Courage Rock Stable in Monticello, Indiana. Therapeion provides equine-assisted programs for persons with a wide range of disabilities, including physical, cognitive, behavioral, and emotional. The center is a member of the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Intl.), providing industry standards, certifications and education in equine services. Administrative and other duties are completed by dedicated volunteers and oversight of the organization is through a Board of Directors. Participants of our programs see improved concentration, learn patience, develop physical and social skills, and learn to trust themselves and others.

Our Mission - Therapeion was founded in 2007 to provide equine assisted services for persons with disabilities and youth facing difficult life challenges. Our mission is to facilitate the healing of body and spirit through the interaction between humans and horses.

Our Vision - Provide professionally developed services that are highly valued by our constituents and fill a need within our community, offering healing of the body and mind through equine-assisted programs and the interaction and connection with a horse. Learning to work with horses builds confidence and raises self-esteem.
